CO - Reports have revealed that medical marijuana dispensaries are mushrooming across all major cities of Colorado, rapidly rising in number like cafe, nail salon, tanning parlors or taco shops do.
It has been a decade since Colorado voted in favor of allowing the use and sale of marijuana for medical purposes. But over the past 6 months, the number of patients and dispensaries has managed to rise very rapidly. "This industry is like a bolting horse running out of a stable that's on fire. We need to get a hold of our own industry", said Sierra Neblina, owner of the Medimar Haven dispensary in Lakewood, Colorado. It has been revealed that while Denver has about 250 dispensary storefronts and in Boulder, Colorado, there are more than 100 of them. So far, the state has issued over 66,000 cards that end up allowing holders to buy and use medical pot. The demand for these cards is so high that there is a waiting period of six-months. Keeping in mind the high rate of buying and using of medical marijuana, authorities are now looking at putting some regulations in place. "The changes are necessary due to the explosive growth in the number of medical marijuana applications", said Mark Salley of the Colorado Health Department. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...-all-over.html |
