Medical marijuana has proven a complicated issue in Montana. Next Tuesday on Montana PBS, a new documentary attempts to clear up some of the confusion.
"Cannabusiness" is the name of this year's film produced by the documentary unit at the University of Montana's Journalism School. Editor Dan Ryan says the main thing he and his classmates learned while producing the project is people don't know exactly what to expect for the future of the substance. "We talked to law enforcement we talked to state legislators. We talked to city council members, and they're all trying to feel it out right now. There hasn't been any precedent set yet in the court regarding a lot of the issues surrounding Medical Marijuana," Ryan said. The one hour film, "Cannabusiness," airs next Tuesday, May 25 on Montana PBS at 8 p.m. Ryan just graduated from UM and will move to Las Vegas to be part of former Grizzly football coach Bobby Hauck's staff at UNLV. Ryan says while there he will attend graduate school in journalism.
