UK - Joseph Camilleri was stopped by police as he drove his Volkswagen Golf in Manor Road, Hayling Island.
The officers had been tipped off that he was involved in dealing drugs and a search of his car uncovered cannabis worth £500 inside a Tesco bag. A message on the 22-year-old's phone included one he sent saying: 'Wakey wakey, rise and shine, get yourself up, it's weed selling time.' Unemployed Camilleri, of Jodrell Close, Horndean, admitted possessing a class B drug with intent to supply. He said he planned to keep half of the 94 grams the police found and sell the other half. Louisa Bagley, defending, said he had tried to sort himself out since his arrest in June last year. Judge Roger Hetherington handed him a nine-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, which means he will not go to jail if he stays out of trouble for the next year. Camilleri has to pay £250 in costs at a rate of £25 a week.
