As state lawmakers consider bills that would decriminalize marijuana or even make its use legal for adults, a new survey shows Washingtonians favor removing the probition against pot.
A KING5/SurveyUSA poll found that 56 percent of respondents thought legalization was a good idea. Meanwhile, 54 percent said they thought lawmakers should allow the sale of marijuana in state-run liquor stores, with such transactions taxed. A majority of people from ages 18-64 thought legalization was a good idea. Only people older than 65 were against it. The poll of 500 adults was taken Wednesday and has a margin of error of 4.5 percent.
