An attempt to make a drug house look lived in has failed to avoid a bust which led to the seizure of $800,000 worth of cannabis in Sydney's west.
Police executed a search warrant about 7am (AEST) yesterday at a house in Prairiewood, where 347 plants, cannabis leaf and equipment to hydroponically grow the contraband were seized. The drugs had an estimated street value of $800,000, police said. No one was arrested during the search and police are continuing with their investigations. A police spokesman said the house was made to look as if everything was normal. "Basically (it was) made out to look as if it was lived in with sensor lights to come on at different times of the night - televisions on, making your normal household type of noise," he told Macquarie Radio.
