The Navy's Explosive Ordnance Detonation Unit was activated to Dededo last night after a suspicious package was dropped off to the Dededo Precinct.
A man from the northern village received a box in the mail that did not contain a return address. The man told police he was not expecting a package and thought it to be suspicious. As a precaution police evacuated the precinct and called in Guam Homeland Security personnel. GHS public information officer Lesley Leon Guerrero says EOD personnel arrived around 8 o'clock and used a robot to analyze the contents of the package. Officials determined the mailed box contained a marijuana-like substance. The case remains under investigation.
