Two Windsor men and a Michigan man are facing charges after an OPP traffic stop revealed the smell of raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
At 9:52 p.m. Thursday a Chatham-Kent OPP cruiser was on patrol in the eastbound lanes of the 401 near Highway 40 when the officer spotted a red Mitsubishi Eclipse that was exceeding the speed limit. Shortly after the vehicle was stopped the officer recognized the smell of raw marijuana coming from inside. The vehicle was searched and police found 5.26 kilograms of marijuana with an estimated street value of $100,000, along with US$13,700 and $1,000 in Canadian cash. The driver, Jeffrey Jones, 21, of Allen Park, Mich., is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and speeding at 129 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. Charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance are Konstantin Gagkayev, 25, and Andre Latendre, 21, both of Windsor. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...g-charges.html |
