Belize: He was a senior Police Officer implicated in a personally motivated physical assault on a San Pedro man, and now Assistant Superintendent of Police Humberto Patt has been dismissed from the Police Department.
In early January of this year, 7NEWS first reported on Ryan Requena who had been brutalized by Police on News Years Eve. Requena showed us pictures illustrating how badly he had been beaten. He says it all started when he got caught up in an argument between a ASP Patt and wife in New Year's Eve. He ended up punching Patt out and that's what led police to his house where they found a small quantity of marijuana. They detained him and took turns beating him for two to three hours with a baton, a rubber hose and pepper spray. Well on Friday the Security Services Commission finished their deliberation on the case and round that Patt was fully aware of what was going on at the Police Station, and that his conduct was not appropriate for the officer in charge, and so they have ordered his dismissal from the Police Department. Patt joined the Police Department in1997. He has been on suspension since Police went to the island to investigate the beating in early January. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...dismissed.html |
