A new push tonight to make medical marijuana legal in Minnesota.
Earlier this year, the Minnesota Legislature approved legalizing pot for medicinal purposes but it was vetoed by Governor Tim Pawlenty. Tonight, the Washington DC based "Marijuana Policy Project" tells Action News they're working to bring the issue to a public vote, possibly next year. Dan Bernath is with the MMP. "We have the worst of all possible options. We're making these people criminals and making them choose between having a medicine that works or going without." The MPP is in the midst of planning fundraisers, both inside and outside Minnesota, to raise money to bring this to a vote. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...blic-vote.html |
