This is based on the information that H1N1 produces an excessive inflammatory response. Patients say that they hurt all over and chest pain, joint and muscle pains are common.
One of the most surprising factors is that H1N1 is presently very contagious but the present death rate is very low compared to the 1918 very lethal flu epidemic. Dr. Robert Melamede, Ph.D, a former Biology Professor who has widely written articles about cannabis therapy from literature research is the President and CEO of Cannabis Science, Inc. which has produced a cannabis lozenge. This has the same difficulties as other oral preparations with slow and erratic absorption. He advises patients to quit smoking cannabis because of irritation (???) and eat the lozenges. This is very surprising. Most marijuana/cannabis doctors recommend vaporizers which minimize irritation and give rapid absorption into the blood. The cannabis lozenges are probably available in the 1000 or so dispensaries in California but I don’t think any other of the 13 states with legal medical marijuana have any such systems. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...swine-flu.html |
