Malaysia - The High Court here on Tuesday imposed the madatory death sentence on a hawker after finding him guilty of trafficking in cannabis, eight years ago.
Judge Datuk Mohd Sofian Abd Razak made the decision after finding Jaafar Sidek Darus, 47, had failed to raise any reasonable doubt in his defence. The accused was caught trafficking in 24.418 kilogrammes of cannabis at house number in Taman Tanjung Indah, Kulim near here at 12.30pm on Feb 23. Drug trafficking carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction in the country. The accused was represented by counsel Jagdeep Singh Deo while the prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Ridha Abdah Subri. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...-cannabis.html |
