The last of five men who pleaded guilty to taking part in a home invasion last May was sentenced to 12 1/2 years in prison Monday.
Joaquin Manuel, 25, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of aggravated assault and one count of first-degree burglary in the case and was sentenced by Pima County Superior Court Judge Jane Eikleberry, said Deputy Pima County Attorney Dan Nicolini. Manuel and three other men kicked in the door of a home near East Valencia Road and South Nogales Highway, believing there was a large amount of marijuana there, police said. When the men found no marijuana, they went to another home on the property and kicked in the door there, too. They found no marijuana and fled. The men were arrested after their getaway driver crashed into a Domino's Pizza delivery driver while being chased by police. The other men in the case are serving between 1 1/2 and 17 1/2 years in prison. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...-invasion.html |
