This is very disheartening to hear about. My dad has Chronic pain due to fibromyalgia. It is so bad that you can't touch him at all, and he can't function, when these attacks happen. He was in the Air force and goes to the VA. He has a list of medications that he has taken that does not work due to the horrible side effects he experiences. Instead of moving forward with his treatment, they start him all over again on the same meds. The state he lives in Medical Marijuana is legal. He has no choice but to use it, because it is the only thing that really helps him, other than the holistic massages my stepmother gives him.
When I read this and saw that VAs would rather give you as much "pain" medications as you wanted, which are highly addictive, instead of prescribing marijuana it really is disheartening. Marijuana has been proven to help with certain things. Vets have given everything to this country, and yet the government would rather make drug addicts out of them than treat them. That is a horrible precedent to set. We should legalize marijuana. Let me tell you why. It is unconstitutional to make it illegal. There is no reason, other than moral reasons, to ban drugs. I agree certain drugs should be destroyed and hence there is no more problem. Marijuana, however, is a natural plant grown in nature. The fact people say it is bad for you is a ludicrous argument. Tobacco is very bad for you and yet it is legal! So why would you use the same argument for marijuana, in order to keep it illegal? I will never use this drug unless it is absolutely necessary for me to, but to deny those in need, especially those with Cancer and Chronic pain, is just cruel. This is another thing that proves our government needs a huge overhaul. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...dical-pot.html |
