Michigan - Anyone thinking of opening a medical marijuana facility in the city of Allegan is going to have to wait.
The city council recently imposed a six-month moratorium on issuing permits or licenses for such places. In 2008, Michigan voters passed a statewide referendum approving the legal sale of marijuana for medical uses. “The city of Allegan has questions on the implementation of that law,” said City Manager-Clerk Robert Hillard. The questions revolve around enforcement through zoning laws, he said. Because of those questions, the city attorney had recommended a moratorium on the creation of such businesses so all aspects can be evaluated. “We’ve had no requests at this point,” Hillard said. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/in...acilities.html |
